Trade Waste pH Correction System
Liquid Controls (Aust.) Pty Ltd has designed this system to automatically control the pH level within an effluent treatment tank to preset levels.
Incoming effluent is sensed by a pH electrode mounted in the treatment tank or sample manifold, with the corresponding pH reading displayed on the Liquitronics® Controller. If the effluent is below set point (eg. pH 6.5) the alkaline pump will activate, pumping a metered amount of alkaline solution into the treatment tank. Once the set point has been reached, the pump will turn off. The same applies if the pH rises above the upper set point, activating the acid metering pump.
An air pump may be used to agitate the effluent to ensure accurate readings once the alkaline/acid has been added.
A Dual pH Controller (Model LPH-200) or pH Controller/Monitor/Recorder (Model MCD-200) is used for the pH control. The MCD-200 incorporates the LD Series Data Logger/Retrieval Unit for recording discharge levels of a Trade Waste System.
